The incident that happened on the 4th in November, until I write this now, still feels strange in my heart as if it was a lifetime ago; the weather at that time was not as cold as it is now. Mayor Zeng stood on the stone steps of Mangdang Mountain, and it was unclear whether he was blown by the wind and narrowed his eyes.

It is quite difficult to find food among the rocks.

I know this place in Mangdang Mountain, but I don’t know it either. What I know is that the stone mountain was a place I visited during spring outings when I was a child. At that time, I just thought it was a dirt slope, where it was difficult for anything to grow. What I don’t know is that now I have to rely on it to make a living. Zeng Kai visited many places that day, including the Geopark, Confucius Mountain, Xishan Mountain, and the Liang Wang Mausoleum. The questions he asked were actually quite practical - how much could it carry, whether it was profitable, and how many people could it feed.

There is a glass plank road built in Confucius Mountain. After inquiries, we found that scenic spots are now keen on building this thing, just like ropeways were built everywhere in the past. Young people are quite fond of it. However, they always feel that it has little connection with "Confucius". If Confucius knew that someone was screaming above the glass and walking through the glass, would he think that this class of students was not good?

The Queen’s Tomb and Our Daily Life

I once had the experience of going to the tomb of the Han and Liang kings. The underground environment was very cool. If you entered it in summer, you had to wear a coat. I can’t remember exactly what was inside the tomb of the queen, but I still remember the sausages sold at the door. You can buy two for five yuan.

At present, the scenic spot is implementing smart measures, including facial recognition before entering the park, and ETC parking methods. It is said that you can also listen to explanations on the official account. This is a good situation, at least you don’t have to queue up to buy tickets. However, wisdom or not may not be as concrete as whether the sausage is delicious or not. Mayor Zeng expressed the need to tap potential high-quality resources to meet the needs of tourists of different ages. The elderly want to see the tomb, the children want to play on the water slide, and the young people want to take photos and post them on Little Red Book - these kinds of needs are really not easy to meet.

The original old ceramics factory will be transformed into a research base. It is said that this is intended to popularize science among students. In my mind, a group of children appeared in my mind. They were dressed in school uniforms, sitting where the kilns used to be, listening to the teacher talking about the Han Dynasty. I don’t know if they could listen. In short, when I was a child, I only wanted to buy snacks when I went out for research.

That road, can you go slower?

The road on the embankment top of Wangyin River needs to be hardened, greened, beautified and brightened.

After four "transformations", the road should become beautiful. But I couldn’t help but secretly wonder if the roads were too well built and the vehicles were traveling faster, so might I miss something. In places like Mangdang Mountain, maybe we should keep a slower pace. Driving is too fast, walking is too slow, and there are no shared bikes to ride on. For those stories passed down two thousand years ago, you have to have a certain amount of patience to listen to them.

In fact, during the meeting that day, what touched me the most was the phrase “telling stories related to history and culture.” Storytelling is something anyone can relate to these days. But how to tell it, to whom you tell it, and whether people will believe it after you tell it is the real ability.

Mangdang Mountain has an astonishing number of stories. King Liang Xiao once hid his troops here, Liu Bang once killed snakes here, and Confucius once took shelter here. If you pick any one at random, it is more exciting than the current TV series. However, the problem is how to make a child who grew up watching short videos be willing to stop and listen to you tell these extremely outdated things.

I don't know the answer.

All I know is that the meeting that day must have been going on for a long time. After visiting each scenic spot, you still have to listen to reports, look at planning drawings, and put forward opinions. The museum plan and the renovation plan of the old ceramics factory prepared by Zhang Fuguang and others were unfolded one by one. However, these are all just words on paper. The real difficulty is to implement them.

Those stones in Mangdang Mountain have been there for hundreds of millions of years. The tombs of the Han Dynasty have been lying underground for two thousand years. They are in no hurry. What’s worrying is that people like us insist on building plank roads, parking lots, and research bases near them, and we even glorify it by calling it “upgrading.”

Perhaps Mayor Zeng also thought of this when he was on the mountain that day.
