If you can only use one word to describe Weihai , it must be treasure .
This city is quietly located at the easternmost tip of the Shandong Peninsula. It is not as famous as Qingdao and Xiamen. However, with its extremely delicious seafood and unique Korean-style customs, I have been willing to go there 6 times.
Especially in February and March, you can feel its truest pulse by avoiding the crowds.
Must-eat list: Ocean memories engraved on your taste buds
In Weihai, eating is not only a satisfying meal, but also a pilgrimage to Korea .
The first recommendation is the Chocolate Fisherman .
Don’t be misled by the name, this is an old shop where locals vote with their feet.
It clearly highlights a lively quality. The steam seafood pot is placed on the table. The sea rainbow is spitting out water vapor, the scallops are also spitting out water vapor, and the oysters are also spitting out water vapor. The original and fresh state without any seasoning is the highest respect given to the sea.
Let’s have another dish of mackerel dumplings. The skin is very thin and the filling is very large. You can almost see the bluish-white fish meat inside. When you bite into it, the juice flows everywhere. There is no fishy smell at all, and it is just tender and smooth in your mouth.

In terms of transportation, there are buses from Weihai Dashuibo Airport to the city.
The high-speed rail stops at Weihai Station or Weihai North Station .
Transportation in the city is perfect, with a well-developed bus network and taxis and shared bicycles everywhere.
My suggestion is that within the three-kilometer radius, you can actually choose to walk on foot, or pay eight yuan for a taxi to focus on the scenery.

When choosing accommodation, if the budget is sufficient, the first thing to consider is the area around Weihai Bay. This area belongs to the city center of Weihai and is convenient in all aspects, whether it is eating, traveling or entertainment.
If you want to be economical, you can choose to stay in a B&B or youth hostel, especially along the bus lines 4, 5 and 8, which will make it extremely convenient to reach various attractions.
A little reminder, the price of sea view rooms on the seafront is on the high side. If you are not so obsessed with seeing the sea, living near the subway or bus hub will be much more cost-effective.
