30° North Latitude, an umbilical cord of civilization that stretches across the land of China
At the waist of the earth, 30° north latitude is like an intangible link of civilization, which runs horizontally through the vast territory of China.
This line, called the "magic latitude" and thus called by geographers, winds for about 5,000 kilometers in China. After arranging the infrared camera properly, the scene of him turning around to accompany his child was recorded by the documentary lens. These two scenes formed a montage, expressing the simplest inheritance of the people of Dashan, that is, guardianship is not only a contract with nature, but also the consciousness of engraving this awe into the blood of the next generation.
Folk Opera: Cultural Confidence in the Fields
When the camera turned to the Jianghan Plain , the Chu Opera Troupe from Xiaogan, Hubei Province was setting up a stage in front of the ancestral hall .
**Chu opera** artists have rough hands. These hands are not deliberately performing, but sliding on the **erhu** strings. Their singing is mixed with the sound of wind from **Jianghan Plain** and the fragrance of rice from **Jianghan Plain**.

After ten months of creation, five episodes were formed. What "Listening to China Along the Latitude" finally presents is not only the unique geographical landscape of 30° north latitude, but also a spiritual map of contemporary China.
Spanning from the area called the "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau" to the area called the "East China Sea Coast", on this specific latitude, there are mysterious bronze objects that originated from "Sanxingdui"; at the same time, there is also the civilization carried and represented by the jade cong called "Liangzhu". Here there are both the "jiangtan" where the poet "Qu Yuan" once recited poems and walked around, and the "water town" described by the writer "Lu Xun".
According to experts from Tsinghua University, this cultural concept of "harmony without difference" is precisely the code for the fact that Chinese civilization has not broken down after five thousand years.
When geographical latitude meets art with visual and auditory effects, a different way of telling the story of China emerges. It is not like an academic paper that covers vastness and depth, but instead leans down and listens to the warm atmosphere of humanity contained in the beating pulse of the earth.
