In the intertwined images formed by the intersection of black and white, it seems that echoes of the past can be heard, making people unable to help but fall into deep thinking about the stormy night and the place where they were born and raised.
This reminded me of the Keshiketeng Banner in Inner Mongolia that I visited in 2020. In that vast and boundless area, I realized the majesty and magnificence of nature.
First, the color of the picture gradually disappeared, and then the vast land spread out before our eyes. The quiet time above was greatly magnified infinitely, as if we were isolated from the world, immersed in it alone and enjoying such extremely rare tranquility and freedom.
The contrast between black and white fully presents the vastness of the grassland and the vastness of the sky. This is the kind of pure power that color cannot give.
Gufang and the city are at peace with each other
In 2023 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, I captured a unique scenery.

This is like many moments in life, even in loneliness, you need to learn to appreciate your own uniqueness and beauty.
At the other end of the city, the black and white images show another charm.
Although the photo only shows a corner of the Bund, it allows people to appreciate the unique charm of this city. The high-rise buildings and skyline appear both modern and calm in the transition between black and white.
From the natural scenes in Yantai, Shandong, to the castles standing on the seaside, black and white photography can strip away appearances and directly reach the essence of things.
Whether it's a majestic scene like the wind blowing the remaining clouds, or the quiet situation next to the sunken boat, or whether it's a castle standing on the seaside accompanied by wind and rain, the use of black and white processing adds to the weight of history and the sense of vicissitudes of life.
