On this occasion, our school has carefully organized a different kind of social practice activity, and the destination is the International Folk Art Exhibition Hall.
To be honest, before I left, I was still thinking, would the art museum be a bit boring?
But after a whole day of experience, I realized that I was wrong.
When I entered the museum, I saw a map that looked like a Chinese knot. After that, I swayed to the music in the European and American Hall. Every place was memorable.

This trip was like opening a window to all parts of the world, allowing me to truly appreciate the appeal of different cultures.
The secret of the "Dragon Boat" in the prologue hall
Walking into the exhibition hall, we first came to the preface hall.
The most attractive thing here is a huge dragon ship model.
According to the tour guide, this is no ordinary dragon boat. It is the largest dragon boat model in Luodian. The prototype has a slim and narrow hull and is specially designed to be able to shuttle flexibly in narrow rivers.
Behind the model, there are rows of small balls, which are undulating up and down. These are used to simulate the scene of water splashing when the dragon boat paddles in the water, which is particularly vivid.
I stood in front of the model and stared at it for a long time. The lively scene of people shouting loud chants and working together to row a dragon boat during traditional festivals came to mind. This is not just a boat, but also a vivid symbol of the unity and strength of the Chinese people.
The commentator mentioned that the craftsmanship of making this kind of dragon boat has been passed down from generation to generation, and it has become a precious intangible cultural relic, which made me instantly respect it.
The “traditional” atmosphere in the China Pavilion
We entered the China Pavilion.
Once inside, it feels like traveling through time and space.
Here it mainly displays some living customs in ancient China.
Just like the wedding customs in the past, it involves matchmaking and betrothal rituals. Up to the moment of welcoming the bride, every link is carefully considered. The bright red wedding dress and sedan chair are hung on the wall, which makes the audience feel extremely festive.
In the exhibition hall, the delicacies of the ancient palace were also introduced. Those exquisitely presented models of food utensils made those of us called "snackies" swallow our saliva involuntarily.
In addition, there is an exquisite and simple landscape that presents the scene of "small bridges and flowing water", including pavilions, pavilions, and winding small bridges. It demonstrates the exquisiteness and unique charm of Chinese gardens.
This thing makes me particularly happy. It makes me feel that the traditional customs and culture of our Chinese nation are not just characters printed on paper, but a living and regular life full of strong human touch.
“Fantasy” and “Adventure” in the African Pavilion
If the previous pavilions allowed people to calm down and watch, then the Africa pavilion is another world full of vitality.

Here, the most conspicuous and eye-catching thing is the sculptures and models of various African animals, including elephants, giraffes, and zebras. They are made to be lifelike and lifelike, as if they are about to run and move in the next second.
We watched a short film called "Fantasy Journey", which described a little girl's treasure hunt underground. The pictures were extremely realistic and made it feel like being there.
But what excites everyone the most is the interactive project "Bison Adventure".
Students can ride a mechanical bison with "stubborn" qualities like cowboys do, and see who can stay on it for the longest time.
Even though I couldn't experience it in person because there were too many people queuing up, it was really interesting to watch the students play.
After a lot of effort, he managed to climb up but was unable to sit firmly. He was immediately shaken down by the buffalo and fell heavily with his feet in the air, making everyone laugh. This person was Pan Yiyang.
Zhang Mingqi sat quite firmly at first, feeling very proud, but the bison suddenly made a sudden lunge forward, and he was thrown off.
Although they all ended in "failure", the joy and excitement infected everyone present.
The "dynamic" rhythm of European and American halls
We came to the European and American Hall.
The style of this exhibition hall is completely different and full of modernity.
After entering, I immediately heard rock music with a strong rhythm, and colorful lights flashed on the walls and floors.
The docent aunt said that what is presented here is the folk dance and festival culture of several European and American countries.
When the music started playing, the students could not help but dance to the rhythm. Some people twisted their bodies and waved their arms, and everyone had happy smiles on their faces.
I was also infected by the cheerful atmosphere and swayed with everyone.
At that moment, the art in the feeling is no longer something that is in a superior position, but becomes a happiness that allows people to relax, do it to their heart's content, and enjoy the situation.
Impressions after visiting
Those joyful moments always pass by very quickly. After visiting the European and American style exhibition hall, we gathered together reluctantly and prepared to go back to school.
As I got on the bus back, I was still replaying the scenes I saw today in my mind.
This visit to the International Folk Art Museum allowed me to witness folk art forms from all over the world, including Chinese dragon boats and wedding customs, specific legends about animals from Africa, and dynamic dances from Europe and the United States.
These art forms are different, but they all originate from the lives of ordinary people and show the wisdom and creativity of working people in various countries.
They are like shining pearls, stringing together the long river of human culture.
I think this is the profound meaning of "inheritance", so that those beautiful things can be passed on from generation to generation, and then be witnessed and known by more people.
