I was reading the news a few days ago, and it was said that there was a lantern festival in Dunhuang, and the "winged horses" in the murals flew out. You can see it in the Year of the Horse, which is much more vivid than looking at the mottled portraits in the cave. When the light and shadow hit your face, you suddenly thought, Oh, it turns out that people thousands of years ago also believed that this horse could fly into the sky, which was a real fantasy.
Don’t just stare at the “Treasure House of Oriental Art” in textbooks
I won't tell you how many caves there are in Mogao Grottoes, because you won't be able to remember them. What I want to express is that you need to sneak into the Dunhuang Night Market in the evening to see the lights on. The nine-colored deer and the three rabbits share the same ears. They are not on the wall, but hanging in the air, being lifted up by the laughter of modern people. That feeling is how culture is still alive. Don't always think about seeing through it all at once. It's impossible to see through. Wouldn't it be nice to leave some thoughts for next time?
Another color in Gansu is white
It is said that Zhangye is a kind of existence called "earth painting". The colorful Danxia is really like the palette that was knocked to the ground by God. However, did you know that in this season, pure natural powder snow is falling in Wushaoling Ski Resort. Its altitude is 2,800 meters. With few people, the field of vision is extremely wide. When skiing, you can directly face the continuous snow-capped mountain peaks. There is also Kangle Zhuzigou, where there is a rime cave. There is a particularly rustic legend. Forty years ago, an old man discovered a spring in a sandstorm, and then planted six apricot trees, which have now grown into the landscape. In the evening, you can play beach motorcycles there, and at night, there will be a starry sky bonfire party, lying in the desert and looking up at the Milky Way. This feeling is more like touching the soul of the Northwest than squeezing in the crowd to take a photo of the "Crescent Moon Spring".
Hot springs are the hidden easter eggs in Gansu
Of course you wouldn't know that Tianshui not only has the Maijishan Grottoes, but also the "First Spring in Longshang" hidden at the foot of the mountain. Go there in the winter and sit in the outdoor hot spring pool, watching the snowflakes fall on your shoulders, the cold and the hot blending together, and the grottoes of Maiji Mountain in the distance are faintly visible in the mist. At that moment, you will feel that those Buddha statues from the Northern Wei Dynasty have been soaked in hot springs in the mountains for thousands of years, and they are quite relaxing and peaceful. The Yaowang Hot Spring in Wuwei is more natural and simple. It is close to the glaciers of the Qilian Mountains and was called the "Holy Spring" in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Those "secret places" whose names I haven't even heard of

Aksai, in the far west of Jiuquan, is a Kazakh Autonomous County. Don’t treat Gansu as a tourist attraction, treat it as a chance encounter
Lintao, as the place named after the Majiayao culture, is a place where you can make painted pottery yourself and experience the feeling of your ancestors who were shaping clay four thousand years ago. There is a Nuwa Temple in Qin'an, and it is said that the Longquan Well that Nuwa used to draw water when she was kneading earth to create humans still retains traces of it. You have the right not to believe in these legends. However, when you stand in its position and gaze at the looming image traces on the "Tian Mending Stone", you will always feel a softness in your heart.
The good things about Gansu are not listed in those standardized tourist guides.
